Where does Joebuilt Construction build new homes?

Currently, we build new homes in the North Alabama area, including Limestone County, Madison County, Morgan County, Cullman, and Marshall County. This includes cities and areas around Athens, Madison, Huntsville, Decatur, Cullman, Guntersville, and Albertville, Alabama. If you have a question about whether we can build in your area, contact us to ask! We may very well already have progress in your area.

What sets Joebuilt Construction apart from other builders?

We build relationships as well as homes. We have a passion for home building and look forward to making forging new relationships with every new home construction. You will deal directly with the owner/builder throughout your build process.

Should I buy land before contacting a builder, or talk to a builder before?

Either way is perfectly acceptable. Whether you hire a builder or purchase the lot first, what you initially picture for your home’s design may change during the process. Inspecting the lot and listening to the advice of your builder will make a big difference. Regardless of the way you do it, the most important aspect of building a home is good communication. Talk to us and don’t be afraid to ask questions or to get an opinion on any of the decisions you have to make.

How much does a custom home cost to build?

Many factors drive the price of a newly built custom home including square footage, finish materials (e.g. hardwood floors vs. carpet), and lot conditions just to name a few.  Choosing a particular building option will also determine the cost of your new home, depending on your (and our) level of involvement. We will provide a ballpark cost and a detailed bid after you pick the design and finishes of your new home.

How does your pricing compare with other builders?

We’re competitive in our pricing, especially when compared to other area home builders. Most of our clients are amazed at the high-end finishes we provide as a standard in our homes. Combined with our process and quality control, the peace of mind they have is priceless. However, if you’re looking for the lowest price regardless of quality, we would not be a good fit. Joebuilt Construction, LLC will not sacrifice our name and reputation for profit.

What kind of financing is required to build a custom home?

A construction/per loan is required for most custom lots. We have several lenders that we work with and can assist you with the process. Please contact us for information.

Can we use our own contacts to supply materials and/or labor during the build process?

We have relationships with the best vendor and sub-contractors in the area that are dedicated to giving us the best service and the best price. These relationships allow us to build you the best home possible, on budget and on time.

What if we want to do some of the work ourselves or know someone who would like to help?

If you know someone willing to help or if you have particular areas in which you're skilled, you may be interested in our various contract or building options. Our construction management option may be for you. If you have construction knowledge, but still want the guidance and knowledge of a licensed builder to assist you along the way, this is a good option for you.

How does weather affect the home building process?

We build all year round, 12 months per year. Even during the coldest North Alabama months there are windows of opportunity when progress can be made without any difficulty. However, concrete sidewalks, stone driveways and masonry work cannot be constructed during extreme cold, but these can be deferred without any impact on the overall schedule.

Will you help me choose materials and finishes such as flooring, countertops, lighting, and fixtures?

You have the option to be just as involved as you want to be. This is your custom home, and you can select everything from the kitchen layout to interior door hardware, from exterior finish material to the color of your light switches. You can also rely on our high quality design standards to provide recommendations based on style and budget to complete your home.

Can we visit our new home while it's under construction?

Yes, we encourage you to visit the site reguarly if you wish. Some clients prefer to be very involved throughout the process, and we believe that's great. However, if you wish to be involved in such a manner that may require constant plan changes, you may prefer one of our building options over another. We ask that you look over our contract/building options to learn which might be suit your particular needs and level of involvement during the home building process.

Do you have a warranty plan?

Joebuilt Construction, LLC offers a one-year warranty on new home construction contracts. We understand that our future success depends on your satisfaction, and we will not hesitate to respond to any concerns after your home is built. We believe in honoring the relationship and trust we built during the construction of your home.

Do I need a real estate agent to buy from Joebuilt Construction?

No, if you do not have a real estate agent, our team at Joebuilt Construction will listen to your needs. We will guide you through a brief series of questions about what you have in mind. Based on your top priorities and needs, we will help you discover which homes, home sites, additional features, and financing options may be right for you. We understand that choosing the right home builder is the first step in getting the home you want and deserve.
